Penthouse Grèce
Less than four months to redesign a 350 m2 penthouse with an additional 200 m2 of outdoor space was a challenge that Stéphanie Coutas tackled with her usual enthusiasm.
This property, perched on the heights of Athens’ hip suburb Glyfada with a view of the Aegean Sea and the mountains on the horizon, inspired her to design a seaside family residence in a bohemian chic style. A vision that immediately charmed the owners.
Naturally, Stéphanie paid close attention to the outdoor areas — terraces, balconies, and verandas — that she treated as extensions of the living room and five bedrooms. She selected fabrics and wallpaper in shades of blue, taupe-grey, and white, colours in perfect harmony with the Greek landscape. Touches of natural materials also abound, such as the lamps with straw shades and clay bases, or the linen carpets under the made-to-measure couches.
One of the walls of the double living room on the fourth floor features a monumental wood sculpture, custom-made by Étienne Moyat. This penthouse was transformed into a villa bathed in sunlight.
